Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work the same way, and this policy covers them too. Some are essential for a site to work; others are optional, and we only use those if you say we can.

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. Nothing optional is used until you choose, and rejecting them is as easy as accepting them. Your choice is remembered for six months, and then we ask again.

You can change your mind at any time from Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete what was stored under it.

These make the site work, so they do not need your consent and cannot be switched off here.

Keeps your basket. Kept for 60 days.

cedar_saved

Remembers products you save while signed out. Kept for 180 days.

authjs.session-token

Keeps you signed in. Expires after 30 days.

authjs.csrf-token

Protects the sign-in form against forgery. Deleted when you close your browser.

authjs.callback-url

Returns you to the right page after signing in. Deleted when you close your browser.

cedar_consent

Remembers your cookie choices. Kept for 180 days.

Payment providers

When you pay, the payment provider’s secure form may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. They are set by the provider and covered by its own policy.

Used only if you turn on “Preferences”.

cedar:recent-searches

Browser storage, not a cookie: your last five searches, kept on this device only and never sent to us. Deleted if you turn Preferences off.

We do not currently use any analytics or marketing cookies. If we add them, they will be listed here and will only be used if you turn on “Analytics” or “Marketing”. If we add a new kind of cookie, we will ask you again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, your basket and signing in will not work.
