Where we deliver
We deliver to mainland UK addresses only: England, Wales and mainland Scotland, including the Highlands. We do not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly or the Scottish islands, and checkout will not accept a delivery address there. Your billing address can be anywhere.
Some large or heavy items cannot reach every mainland address — properties with very restricted access, for example. If we cannot deliver an item to your address, we will contact you before it is sent, and refund you in full if you would rather not go ahead.
What it costs
Each product page shows which delivery it uses.
- Standard delivery
- £4.95, free on orders over £50Most items.
- Large item delivery
- £30, free on orders over £250Furniture, BBQs and heating, fencing, decking, timber and paving, climbing frames and swings, lawn mowers and other large items.
- Garden building delivery
- £75 on every orderGarden rooms and offices, log cabins, summerhouses, sheds, playhouses, garden bars and greenhouses.
If your basket contains items with different delivery methods, you pay one charge: the highest of them. The charge for your order is shown in your basket and at checkout, before you pay.
If an item ever needs a quote because the delivery depends on the site, it shows as “Quoted separately” at checkout. We confirm the charge with you before we accept your order, and you can cancel without paying anything if it does not suit you.
How long it takes
Each product page shows its delivery method and a typical lead time in working days (Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays). Lead times are estimates, not guaranteed dates.
Items are often sent from different warehouses, so an order with several products can arrive in more than one delivery. We will let you know when your order is on its way, with tracking where the carrier provides it.
Large and heavy items
Items that travel on a pallet or need two people to carry are marked on their product page, along with what the delivery includes. Unless the product page says otherwise, large items are delivered to the kerbside or the nearest safe point a vehicle can reach.
For these deliveries:
- someone aged 18 or over needs to be there to receive and sign for the delivery;
- the vehicle may be a large lorry with a tail-lift, so it needs a firm, level place to stop and unload;
- tell us about narrow lanes, steep drives, parking restrictions or anything else the driver should know in the access notes at checkout.
If a delivery cannot be made because nobody is in or the access is not as described, we will contact you to rearrange. Where that was not our fault, we may charge for the further attempt.
Garden machinery
Petrol machines are delivered without fuel, and batteries usually need charging before first use. Some machines arrive part-assembled, with handles or grass boxes to fit. Read the manufacturer’s handbook before assembling, fuelling or starting anything — it has the steps and safety information for that model.
When your order arrives
Check the packaging before you sign. If it is visibly damaged, note that on the driver’s delivery record, or refuse the damaged item.
If anything is damaged, missing or not what you ordered, tell us as soon as you can — ideally within 48 hours — with your order number and photographs. The sooner we know, the faster we can put it right with the carrier. This does not affect your legal rights; see returns and cancellations.
Late or missing deliveries
If your tracking stops moving or a delivery is later than expected, email [email protected] with your order number and we will chase it.
